Trending: Twitter COO predicts streaming devices like Apple TV, Fire TV, Chromecast will go extinct in 5 years

Just in time for family vacation season, Seattle-based interactive agency Smashing Ideas has developed another clever way to keep your kids busy on road trips, the first-ever Dr. Seuss coloring-book app.

Created with Random House Children’s Books, Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat Color & Create brings the popular coloring book to the digital world, and complements the “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That” ebook program and PBS kids show.

The apps features include eight drawing tools, such as the Confetti Cannon and Magic Hat animated effects, and there are 32 different colors to use on its 16 pages. It also has an email sharing tool, so your little Picassos can be sent to others.

But perhaps the best feature for this coloring book is that it is mess free. That’s right, no permanent markers or paint on the couch or car seat when they’re done.

The app is at a special intro price of $1.99 and is available now.
