Updated below with answer and winners.

How well do you know your video games? To get the right answer to this week’s Name That Tech Tune challenge, you’ll need to be very specific — naming not only the franchise the sound is associated with, but also the number in the series.

From the pool of correct answers, we’ll draw two people at random to win free tickets to the GeekWire Meetup, coming up this Thursday evening Oct. 27 at the Spitfire in Seattle.

If you’ve never played before, here’s how it works: Listen to the sound below, and if you know the answer, send it to contest@geekwire.com.

(Here’s the MP3)

Stumped? We gave some pretty good hints during the Name that Tech Tune segment on this week’s GeekWire radio show and podcast, including one that points to the release date of this particular game. Listen to the segment here.

Once again, if you know the answer — not just the video game franchise, but also the number in the series — send it to contest@geekwire.com.

We’ve also updated last week’s Name that Tech Tune with the answer and winners.

Thanks to everyone for playing! If you’re a fan of this feature, the meetup this Thursday evening will include the first-ever live version of Name that Tech Tune, with two tunes to challenge you, and prizes from our meetup sponsors, thePlatform and Business Wire.

We’re expecting more than 200 people. Looking forward to seeing everyone there. Get tickets here.

Name that Tech Tune is a regular feature of the GeekWire radio show and podcast. Catch this week’s full episode later this morning on GeekWire.com and at 7 a.m. today on 97.3 KIRO-FM in Seattle. You can also get every episode using this RSS feed, or by subscribing in iTunes or Zune.

Update, 10/29: The answer is Grand Theft Auto III, which just marked its 10th anniversary. Congrats to our winners, Joseph Sunga and Joe Goldberg.
