Updated below with answer and winner.

This week’s Name that Tech Tune challenge is based on a mobile ringtone. To get it right, you’ll need to name the company known for the ringtone. But it’s not quite as easy as it might sound, because the tune isn’t the ringtone itself, but a piano piece riffing on the ringtone. So you’ll need to listen closely to the piano piece to see if you can hear the ringtone inside it.

From the pool of correct answers, we’ll be selecting one winner at random to receive a ticket to the Mobile Madness Northwest conference on Dec. 6 in Seattle, courtesy of Xconomy, whose senior editor, Curt Woodward, is our guest on this week’s GeekWire radio show and podcast. (I’ll be moderating a panel at the Mobile Madness event, by the way.)

Here’s the song below. If you think you know the answer, send your entry to contest@geekwire.com.

(Here’s the audio file for anyone who has issues with the player.)

Name that Tech Tune is a regular feature of the GeekWire radio show and podcast, coming up at 7 a.m. today on 97.3 KIRO-FM in Seattle and later this morning on GeekWire.com. Here’s the Name that Tech Tune segment from this week’s show if you want the full context.

Once again, if you know the correct answer, send it to contest@geekwire.com.

By the way, the answer to last week’s Name that Tech Tune challenge was Ms. Pac Man. We’ve updated last week’s post with the answer and the winner.

Thanks for playing, everybody!

Update, 12/3: As many of you knew, the answer was T-Mobile’s ringtone. Congrats to Kirsten Gantenbein, whose entry was selected at random from the pool of correct answers to win a ticket to Xconomy’s Mobile Madness event this Tuesday in Seattle. Thanks for playing, everybody.
