If the concept video shown by Microsoft last week demonstrated a path to the future, think of this project as one of the steps along the way.

The company’s research lab in Cambridge, England is out this morning with new details of research into “augmented projectors,” including a prototype that can sense the characteristics of a room to let people interact with a virtual objects in the space. Microsoft blogger Steve Clayton has more details on the Augmented Projectors project in this post.
