Since we launched GeekWire, you’ve read here about hiring at some of the hottest tech companies in town — Facebook, Cheezburger, UrbanSpoon, Zillow, Marchex, EnergySavvy, BigFish Games, Apptio, and HP, to name a few.

Today, responding to the demand from startups and technology leaders, and helping to fulfill our mission as a resource for the Seattle region’s geeks, we’re excited to announce the GeekWire Job Board — a new form of employment advertising for companies seeking talented workers, and a new online resource for talented people looking for any type of job in the tech industry.

If you’re a job-seeking geek, go here to peruse the available positions at technology companies in our region. More will be coming online quickly as participation expands. And if you’re a company looking to hire a job-seeking geek (or 10!), click here to post a job.

The system is self-service for employers. For applicants, the information you submit will be delivered directly to the poster’s inbox.

Our goal is to make this a cost-effective way for companies to get the word out to a targeted audience of prospective employees. Pricing is $100 for a standard, 30-day placement on the page, and $200 for a 30-day featured listing, which gets premier placement on the page and a spot in the rotation of “featured jobs” on the GeekWire home pagePackage pricing is available for multiple job listings.

If you’re interested in one of two available display advertising slots on the job board, contact us here.

This is a beta launch, and we’re looking forward to your feedback as we continue to make improvements. Send comments and questions to red@geekwire.com.

And thanks, as always, for your support of GeekWire.
