CNBC’s “Power Lunch” will be broadcast on location from Microsoft today, putting a spotlight on the Xbox 360, from a section of the company’s headquarters campus that might surprise people who’ve never seen it before.

See this photo gallery for pictures of the CNBC crew setting up yesterday for the shoot at the Microsoft Commons, in the middle of the company’s 2-year-old Entertainment & Devices campus, on the west side of state Route 520.

The area has become a central gathering place for the company’s workers — with its own retail shops, restaurants, conference center, and even a soccer field.

Xbox is becoming increasingly influential in Microsoft’s broader business, as reflected by the debut last week of a software development kit officially bringing the Kinect motion sensor to Windows. Powe Lunch airs at 1 p.m. today.
