By Andy Sack

There’s lots of quality advice aimed at the business, market and product strategy.  However,  I rarely hear advice aimed at encouraging entrepreneurs to get their lives working as a way of increasing business success. I think there’s a huge connection between feeling good about oneself mentally, physically and emotionally and the ability of an entrepreneur to drive success in their business.
This post was prompted by two conversations I had today with entrepreneurs. In the first conversation, I asked the entrepreneur for feedback on my business and his response was, and I quote, “park further away from the office as a way of increasing your daily “passive” exercise routine”.  I thought this was a funny answer to my question — but the more I thought about his answer to my request for feedback the more it made sense to me. In the second conversation, an entrepreneur was complaining about how he felt his performance during recent sales presentation wasn’t as strong as he believed he’s capable of performing.  Then, the entrepreneur went on to tell me about how his personal and family are dissatisfying.  I pointed out the obvious — that the two phenomena might be connected.  He paused, and totally agreed.  He’s starting an exercise regime tomorrow. :-) I told him I’d join him.
So my entrepreneurial advice of the day : Take care of yourself….and you’re taking care of your business.
