Having just returned on Monday from a great weekend in Las Vegas with a group of other entrepreneurs from Seattle, I found myself thinking about poker.  Poker is everywhere. There’s Poker 2.0, the law firms in town host games, there’s poker at CEO retreats, and even President Obama plays poker.  I learned early in life that guys need excuses to hang out and talk. Poker gives us a great excuse — poker is a relaxed social way to sit next to someone that you don’t know and play a game.
For me, I’ve really grown to enjoy the game. I like it because the game is simple on the surface but beneath the surface is quite complex. It’s mathematical, it’s psychological, and it’s unpredictable.  And it’s on TV – I’ve become fans of Doyle, Daniel and Durr. Gotta love poker…..it’s the new golf. :-) Have a great holiday weekend.
