The new program, called Free Games With Prime, includes an offering of free games each month that users with Amazon Prime accounts can download. It is similar to the Xbox Live Games with Gold package from Microsoft.

Amazon acquired Twitch in 2014 for $970 million. It has since been rolled out new goodies to entice Twitch users to join Amazon Prime. The central perk is Twitch Prime, a bundle of Amazon Prime benefits specifically aimed at gamers, like discounts on game pre-orders and new releases, in-game bonuses, and an ad-free Twitch experience that includes a free monthly Twitch channel subscription. Twitch Prime debuted in 2016, and Amazon expanded the program to more than 200 countries last summer.
