Things got nasty at the third and final presidential debate on Wednesday night, and on Thursday, Janet Jackson fans got “Nasty” in return.
Spotify reported that streams of Jackson’s 1986 R&B hit were up 250 percent following the debate, in which Donald Trump referred to his opponent Hillary Clinton as “such a nasty woman.”
Who's jamming to that nasty groove?
It's you lot, with streams of Nasty up 250% since last night… #debateshttps://t.co/ir9pohNtID— Spotify (@Spotify) October 20, 2016
As a refresher, here’s the moment in the debate that led to the latest meme from this long and winding campaign season:
Clinton: "What we want to do is to replenish the Social Security trust fund…"
Trump: "Such a nasty woman" #Debate https://t.co/HMsvusL4Y6

The internet didn’t waste any time seizing on the opportunity. And folks planning election night parties clearly had a track worthy of adding to any playlist.
