Tennis legend Serena Williams shared the news of her engagement to Alexis Ohanian on (where else?) the platform he co-created.
Using her verified Reddit account, Williams shared a post entitled “I said yes” with a cartoon of her and Ohanian and the following poem about how the proposal went down.

CNN confirms, via a publicist, that Ohanian proposed in Rome. The two have been together since late 2015.
Ohanian has been a fixture in the tech world since launching Reddit in 2005. He left the company in 2007 to pursue non-profit projects and write his book, Without Their Permission. In 2015, he returned to Reddit’s helm with co-founder Steve Huffman and this year he launched the third fund for early-stage VC Initialized Capital.
In response to Williams’ Reddit post, Ohanian commented, “And you made me the happiest man on the planet.”
