Would you rather be stuck in outer space with Jennifer Lawrence or Chris Pratt? Yes.

While many sci-fi thrillers tend to offer us just one hero left standing against whatever deep space can throw his or her way (“Alien,” “The Martian”), the first trailer for “Passengers” shows that it might be best to have two mega-stars pitted against peril.

While Pratt has taken on dinosaurs in “Jurassic World” and alien aggressors in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” and Lawrence has earned her fighting stripes in the “X-Men” and “Hunger Games” series, it’s interesting to pair the two romantically — before all hell breaks loose, at least.

According to the film synopsis on YouTube, Lawrence (Aurora) and Pratt (Jim) are two passengers aboard a spaceship transporting them to a new life on another planet. The trip takes a deadly turn when their 120-year hibernation pods mysteriously wake them 90 years before they reach their destination. As Jim and Aurora try to unravel the mystery behind the malfunction, they begin to fall for each other, unable to deny their intense attraction … only to be threatened by the imminent collapse of the ship and the discovery of the truth behind why they woke up.

“This can’t be happening. We have to go back to sleep,” Lawrence says, stealing a line from me on Mondays.

“Something’s wrong. Something big,” Pratt says, signaling that the film probably won’t just be the two of them rolling around in space bed, going on space dates.

Check out the trailer. The film will be in theaters this Christmas.
