Like a professional athlete coming off a winning season, T-Mobile CEO John Legere has received a salary increase and an extension of his employment contract, according a regulatory filing by the company today.
Legere’s base salary has been increased to $1.5 million, up from $1.25 million previously, and his original employment term has been extended by two years to September 22 2017.
T-Mobile also increased the Legere’s annual bonus potential — boosting his minimum annual incentive plan target award to $3 million, and his minimum annual long-term incentive plan target award to $12 million. And the revised employment agreement also extended the non-compete clause to two years following any departure from the company, up from one year previously.
The Bellevue, Wash.-based company is coming off the biggest growth year in its history, adding 8.3 million net customers in 2014.
