LAS VEGAS – This year’s most unlikely new exhibitor at this year’s CES isn’t an electronics company at all. It is the Girl Scouts of the USA, attending CES for the first time and showcasing their new Digital Cookie program.

Girl Scouts at CES

Digital Cookie enables Girl Scouts to sell Girl Scout Cookies through two digital sales platforms. Girls can now remotely sell cookies from their personalized cookie website, enabling sales to friends and family who live out of their area. The Scouts can now also take orders via a new mobile app that allows for credit card processing and direct shipping.

Probably the coolest part of this new program is the reporting interface that allows the girls an opportunity to run their own online Digital Cookie business. I had no choice but to order my favorite Thin Mints from the enterprising Girl Scouts here at CES.
