Next time you pack up for the wonderful world of Disney, you’ll want to leave the selfie stick at home.

The LA Times reports that Disney World is one of the latest spots to ban the selfie stick. Citing safety as the main concern, a theme park rep told said the policy begins Tuesday, banning the vile sticks from Disney World, Disney World water parks and gaming attraction DisneyQuest.

“We strive to provide a great experience for the entire family, and unfortunately selfie-sticks have become a growing safety concern for both our guests and cast,” Disney World spokeswoman Kim Prunty told the LA Times.

Additionally, selfie sticks will be banned at Disneyland starting June 30 and at Disney parks in Paris and Hong Kong on July 1.

Of course, Disney joins the growing numbers of museums and special events that are banning the sticks, which, at best, are annoying, at worst, downright dangerous. At this point, it’s pretty safe to say that if you’re going to be a public space with a lot of other people or expensive artwork around, you should probably leave the selfie stick at home.
