xbox360newnew1For the first time, Microsoft is slashing the price of the Xbox One. Starting this weekend, gamers in the U.K. will see the console drop in price to 399.99 euros, down 30 euros from launch day.

Microsoft also today announced an Xbox One Titanfall Bundle, which includes an Xbox One console, an Xbox One chat headset, one month of Xbox Live Gold and a copy of Titanfall all for 399.99 euros in the U.K. The package is available in all markets where the Xbox One is sold, including the U.S., where it will cost $499 — currently the same price as the Xbox One by itself.

The new price point in the U.K. is still higher than that of the PlayStation 4, which sells for 349.99 euros. Xbox One sales are lagging behind that of the PS4, as Sony announced last week that it had sold more than 5.3 million PS4 systems worldwide, compared to 3.9 million Xbox Ones sold.
