Seattleites: You have a new personal concierge at your service, free of charge.
Sosh, a San Francisco-based startup, today launched in Seattle to help people find things to do. The app intends to be a “personal concierge,” asking a series of basic questions about one’s interests and then offering up custom recommendations for everything from restaurants to concerts. Sosh uses technology and local experts to curate a city’s top activities and matches those with a user’s profile.
Here’s a look at how Sosh builds a user profile:
The startup picked Seattle as its third city — it is also available in New York City — because of its “unique and hyperlocalized culture.”
Sosh has raised $16 million from Khosla Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger and others.
