fanatic1If you have any interest in football and live in Seattle, you may already have plans in place at 1:35 p.m. tomorrow.

That’s exactly when NFL playoff football returns to the Emerald City, as the red-hot Seahawks host the New Orleans Saints at CenturyLink Field for a much-anticipated NFC Divisional Playoff matchup.

But for those Seattle fans that aren’t in town on Saturday, finding a bar or restaurant full of Seahawks fans might be tough to come across.

Thankfully, though, there’s an app for that. Fanatic helps people find a place to cheer on their team with fellow fans and is designed for those on business trips away from home, or those who live in different cities or countries from where they grew up.

Based on your GPS location, Fanatic will tell you the bars and restaurants where the most fans of your team have checked in at. For example, in Chicago the app recommends the Newport Bar and Grill — that’s where the “Hawksnest” fan group meets every Seahawks gameday.

It’s not just restricted to the NFL, either. Fanatic features teams from the NBA, MLB, NHL, college sports, MLS and several other professional soccer leagues around the world. You can download the app on iOS and Android.

One side Seahawks note: FOX will broadcast Saturday’s game, but unfortunately won’t be streaming it online for free unless you are a Comcast, Cablevision and AT&T U-verse subscriber. However, CBS is streaming the two AFC Divisional Playoff games for free here.
