Colin Kaepernick apparently doesn’t care about the NFL’s new ban on Beats by Dre headphones.
The San Francisco 49ers quarterback was fined $10,000 by the league after sporting Beats by Dre headphones at a post-game press conference this past Sunday. The NFL last week banned players from using any headphones other than Bose — the league’s official sponsor — during TV interviews before or after games, practices, and training camp sessions.
Kaepernick, who has an endorsement deal with Beats by Dre, donned pink-laden headphones on Sunday for breast cancer awareness and later posted an Instagram picture on Thursday about it with the caption: “I support breast cancer awareness! My grandma is a survivor!……. *shrugs* some things are now important! #IDontGetTired #WhoDoYouLove #Se7enPounds.”
As far as who paid the fine, Kaepernick told reporters, “we’ll let that be unanswered.”
Beats by Dre certainly wasn’t shy about showing off NFL athletes using their product on last weekend (although Kaepernick was the only one who broke the NFL’s rule during a TV interview):

And Seahawks star Richard Sherman, another Beats by Dre athlete, made sure to let his followers know what “army” he’s on with his own Instagram post featuring the pink headphones with the hashtag “#BeatsArmy.”
We’ll keep an eye out this Sunday for any other Beats by Dre appearances.
