It didn’t take Aaron Sorkin much convincing to decide who should play Steve Jobs in his upcoming biopic about the late Apple co-founder.
In an interview with Bloomberg, the award-winning screenwriter confirmed that Batman star Christian Bale will play Jobs and noted that the actor did not even audition for the role.
“We needed the best actor on the board in a certain age range, and that’s Chris Bale,” Sorkin told Bloomberg.
Sorkin noted how difficult the role will be for Bale, who will be featured in every single frame of the movie.
“He has more words to say in this movie than most people have in three movies combined,” said Sorkin, who also wrote the screenplay for “The Social Network.”
The biopic is reportedly based on Walter Isaacson’s 2011 biography about Jobs and follows last year’s mediocre movie about the Apple icon that starred Ashton Kutcher.
