Like Amazon’s previous offerings, both “The Cosmopolitans” and “Hand of God” feature star-studded casts.

“The Cosmopolitans,” directed by Academy Award nominee Whit Stillman, is a dramatic comedy that follows a group of young American expatriates in Paris. The ensemble cast includes Adam Brody, who played Seth Cohen on “The O.C.,” and Chloë Sevigny as young people searching for companionship in France.

“Sons of Anarchy” and “Hellboy” star Ron Perlman headlines “Hand of God,” which is directed by “Monster’s Ball” filmmaker Marc Forster. Perlman plays Judge Pernell Harris, who “suffers a mental breakdown, and goes on a vigilante quest to find the rapist who tore his family apart.” He’s aided by–no joke–visions sent from God through his ventilator-bound son. Seriously.

The two new pilots will be competing with a handful of other new shows that haven’t been named yet to become one of Amazon’s next original program offerings. Like previous seasons, Amazon users will be able to vote on their favorite pilots, and the company will pick them up for a full season.

Amazon just wrapped up its second pilot selection process, approving The After, Bosch, Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street, Mozart in the Jungle, Transparent and Wishenpoof for full seasons to be shown on Prime Instant Video.
