ipadsurfaceMicrosoft’s newest deal allows people to trade in a “gently-used” iPad 2, 3, or 4 for a $200 gift card to the Microsoft store.

The deal started Sept. 5 and runs until Oct. 27. To get your gift card, you’ll have to actually go into a physical U.S. and Canadian Microsoft stores, as the deal is not applicable online.

I don’t want a $200 gift card to the MSFT store. maybe, then I can buy a Nexus 7.

Wow, how long did you waste coming up with that useless troll?

  • guest

$200 is less than you could get on Ebay for any of these, so I don’t see this generating much traffic. Chalk this up as trolling for pr coverage and little else.

Yup. Maybe the convenience factor of in-store vs Ebay makes the iPad2 a wash, but not the 3 or 4. It’s getting some press though, so someone at MS will slap a #missionaccomplished on it.

Taylor, I believe the promotion states that customers will receive a “minimum $200” gift card for their iPad, implying that newer models will fetch a higher trade in value. I think your article makes this unclear.
