Following a security breach last week that closed down its developer website, Apple is slowly returning functionality to its tools for developers.

The company has created a system status page that shows whether or not a particular service is online. Currently, iTunes Connect and the company’s bug reporter are online, and the current maintenance message from Apple says that Certificates, its developer forums, pre-release libraries and videos are next in line to be brought back up.

Apple first took its developer site down for “maintenance” on Thursday of last week, and subsequently updated developers with news that the site was hacked on Sunday. The company said no sensitive financial data was taken, and the breach was restricted to developer account information.

According to a comment made on a TechCrunch article about the breach, a security researcher named Ibrahim Balic claimed responsibility and said in a video that he gained access to more than 100 thousand developer accounts. Balic claims that he did not intend to use the data for malicious purposes. Apple was not available for comment on Balic’s statements as of press time.

The breach has been a major setback for developers, many of whom rely on resources available through the website in order to do their work. It comes at a critical time in app development as Mac and iOS developers are rushing to get their products ready for the launch of iOS 7 and OS X Mavericks, the new versions of Apple’s operating systems which are due out this fall.

Apple has not provided a time estimate for the complete restoration of services.
