Seattle may not be Vegas (no offense, Tulalip Casino), but a new gaming app that allows players to use real money is bringing some more gaming attention this way.

Big Fish has launched its first social mobile app in the UK called Big Fish Casino (formerly known as Card Ace: Casino) that will let players use real money. And while the app is also available stateside, its only the UK version, thanks to a deal with real-money online gaming company Betable, that will allow UK users to gamble for now. The app is to be released in the coming weeks, and will include slots with blackjack, roulette and video poker.

Big Fish acquired the popular casino app as part of its gaming studio acquisition of Self Aware Studios. The game, previously Card Ace: Casino, attracted “roughly one-million monthly active players,” according to Big Fish. The updated version, Big Fish Casino, allows players to share chips across games, chat with other players, give gifts and more.

Seattle developers are becoming somewhat of a hotbed for these real-money gaming types. Earlier this year, slot-machine manufacturer International Game Technology bought Seattle-based social games developer DoubleDown Interactive for up to $500 million. DoubleDown is known for its popular DoubleDown Casino on Facebook, and has hinted that real gambling could be in the future cards.

The Big Fish Casino also hits the market before Zynga’s 2013 lineup of real-money games. It’s available now for free at the iTunes App Store, Facebook and for Android devices on Google Play and Amazon.
