TechStars Seattle first month is over.   The program is in full swing and we’re gearing up for demo day which will be the morning of Nov 11.  Be sure to mark your calendars. In order to give you a sense of the program, below is a list of some of the lessons we’ve had in the first month:
  •  Glenn Kelman, CEO of Redfin came and spoke about a startups approach to PR
  •  Matt Shobe, co-founder of Feedburner and now at Google, spoke about UX
  • Wesley Chan, of Google analytics fame and now with Google Investments, spoke about building great companies
  • Dan Shapiro spoke about startup market research
  • TA McCann, CEO of Gist, spoke about building great products
  • Shannon Swift, CEO fo SwiftHRSolutions, spoke about hr topic for startups
  • Erik Koester, of CooleyGodward, spoke about the legal topics for startups
  • Ben Huh, CEO of Cheezeburger, spoke about PR and marketing
  • Rand Fishkin, CEO of SEOmoz, spoke about SEO
  • Marcelo Calbucci, Founder of Seattle 2.0, spoke about what he wished he had known prior to his last startup
  • Neil Patel, SEO expert and co-founder of KISS metrics, spoke about marketing your startup
  • Keith Smith, CEO of Big Door Media, spoke about gamification
  • Gaurav Oberio and Chuck Groom, told their story of building and selling Precision Polling
  • Josh Petersen, CEO fo 43 things, spoke about defining founder’s goals, lifestyle businesses and financing 
  • Greg Gottesman, partner at Madrona, spoke about early stage financing
  • Andy Jassy, SVP at Amazon, spoke about lessons learned while building AWS
And much much more.
