StartupDay was this Saturday and it was an incredible community success.  It had great buzz that was picked up from Portland’s Silicon Florist to the nationally syndicated Read Write Web.  I say it was a community success because while Seattle 2.0 and our team organized it, without our incredible speakers, sponsors, advisors and attendees it wouldn’t have been such a positive experience for so many people.
More than 400 people came to the Meydenbauer Center on Saturday to hear 15 talks by successful entrepreneurs about different aspects of building a startup from scratch.
Running parallel to the talks, was the advisory room where attendees could meet one on one with investors, entrepreneurs, lawyers, accountants and marketing specialists.  More than 50 people volunteered their time to advise new entrepreneurs.
Talks and Slides
The morning kicked of with a energetic talk from Dave McClure on why not to do a Startup, and ended with a final talk from Ben Elowitz.  We will be posting all of the videos over the next few weeks, but for now you can check out all of the slides on SlideShare.
