Overview
About this role
Echodyne is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Cloud Platform, to join our fast-growing team. The role sits at the intersection of distributed systems and real-time data ingestion, turning the massive output of edge radar systems into structured, actionable intelligence — building the cloud-native “connective tissue” for complex radar ecosystems.
As a technical shepherd, you guide the team to build a mission-critical backend that is “edge-aware” — designed to handle the unique telemetry, scale, and security requirements of a fast-growing fleet of radar assets. Required experience includes expert-level proficiency in AWS cloud-native services specifically tuned for high-throughput device data (e.g., IoT Core, Kinesis, Timestream, Lambda), and deep experience in leading the design of resilient systems that can handle the bursty, high-frequency telemetry unique to radar systems while maintaining low-latency command-and-control loops.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $164,594—$246,788 USD.
