Overview
About this role
As the Director, Marketing & Communications, you will be the architect of Group14’s global narrative. This role will focus on brand awareness alongside strategic positioning within the global energy supply chain. You will manage across three continents, navigate the intersection of deep-tech, green energy policy and industrial scale, and lead the communications roadmap as Group14 continues to grow.
What you’ll be doing: refine and protect the Group14 and SCC55® story across B2B channels; coordinate messaging across hubs in the U.S., South Korea, and Germany, accounting for local market nuances and regulatory environments; position executive leadership as definitive voices on silicon battery technology and the global energy transition; work with legal and executive teams on communications to government stakeholders; support communications around government grants, tax credits, and DOE partnerships that fuel manufacturing expansion; and build a robust framework for managing reputation risks inherent in rapid global scaling.
What we’re looking for: 12+ years in corporate communications or marketing, specifically within deep-tech, energy, or advanced manufacturing; Bachelor’s in Communications, International Relations, or Business (MBA or advanced degree preferred); experience in both public and private company environments; experience managing communications for companies with international manufacturing footprints (South Korean or German business culture a plus); and true B2B specialist mindset. Office-based in Seattle. Base salary: $145,000–$185,000 plus bonus and stock options. No visa sponsorship.
