Overview

SENIOR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR for the City of Ketchikan Information Technology Department. Regular, full-time; Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm; $7,438.80 – $10,476.63 DOQ plus benefits. Performs a variety of duties in the modification, troubleshooting, and safeguarding of servers, firewalls, disk arrays and switches. Provides first-line troubleshooting for server problems, administration of Servers, SQL, and Citrix user accounts, oversees computer operations and identifies user training needs.  Two years of college level course work in computer science, information systems, or a related field and two years increasingly responsible experience administering and supporting firewalls, servers, SANS, and switches similar to those in use by the City. Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate driver’s license and ability to obtain Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert: MCSE within two years of hire. Position is Open until Filled; EOE/AA
