Digs, a Vancouver, Wash.-based startup that sells software for homebuilding, raised $7 million.

The 2-year-old company is an AI-powered collaboration platform for builders and homeowners that organizes documents, provides communication tools, and generates 3D digital versions of homes, among other features.

The startup, which generates revenue with a software-as-a-service model, raised a separate $7 million round less than a year ago. It now serves users in all 50 states.

“We have seen a growing spike of build professionals subscribing along with builders since Digs can be valuable for their workflow internally, and externally with the homeowner during the design or selection process, as well,” said Digs CEO Ryan Fink.

The recent real estate slowdown has not impacted Digs in a big way, according to Fink. He said the company helps builders consolidate their software and Digs gives them a differentiator over competitors.

Other project management software exists, such as Procore and BuilderTrend, but Fink said Digs separates itself by focusing on both internal and external collaboration.

Fink previously founded an augmented reality glasses startup called ONtheGo Platforms, which Atheer acquired in 2015. He also founded Streem, a startup that developed AR technology for home improvement technicians, which was acquired in 2019 by home services company Frontdoor.

Fink started Digs with Ty Frackiewicz, who previously co-founded ONtheGo and was vice president of product at Streem.

Oregon Venture Fund and Legacy Capital Ventures led the new round. Other backers include Fuse, Flying Fish, Betaworks, PSF, and Deepwater Asset Management.

Fink also works as a venture scout and is a limited partner at Fuse.

Digs recently hired former Drop CEO and Streem exec Jef Holove as its chief operating officer.

The company has 25 employees.
