Amazon released sales data for its annual Prime Day shopping event that took place July 11 and 12 this week. The company said July 11 marked its single largest sales day in history.

  • Prime members, who pay $139/year in the U.S. for a membership, purchased more than 375 million items over the two days.
  • Data from Adobe Analytics shows a record $12.7 billion spent over the two days ($6.4 billion July 11; $6.3 billion on July 12), up 6.1% from last year’s Prime Day.
  • Amazon said its Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen) with Alexa Voice Remote was the best-selling product.
  • “Buy Now Pay Later,” which lets customers pay for products over time, drove $927 million in revenue, up 20% year-over-year, Adobe said. Sales made via smartphones drove 44.8% of online sales on July 12, up from 41.5% last year.
  • Amazon stock was up 2% on Thursday.
