— San Diego, Calif.-based company Wiliot named Manish Bansal as chief product officer. He joins the IoT startup from Amazon, where he spent 15 years, most recently as director of product management for supply chain technology.

Bansal will be responsible for Wiliot’s IoT platform used to manage the company’s “Pixels,” a low-energy microchip that transmits data about its location and environment. Wiliot’s technology is currently used by customers in grocery, apparel and healthcare.

“Based on my experience at Amazon, I understand the potential Wiliot offers in equipping global supply chains with real-time transparency,” said Bansal.

Wiliot appointed former Zillow and Convoy exec Tony Small as chief business officer last year. The 5-year old company closed a Series C financing round led by Softbank’s Vision Fund 2 in July.

— Amazon’s head of policy communications Jodi Seth is headed to Lyft, where she will be senior director of corporate and policy communications, Axios reported.

— Medical supply e-commerce platform Bttn announced Steve Nielsen as president. Nielsen, a longtime healthcare executive, joined the company’s advisory board in December.

“From the advisory board vantage point, the totality of the opportunity bttn has in front of it has become crystal clear,” said Nielsen.

Nielsen is the former CEO of McKesson Medical and LABSCO. Founded last year, Bttn raised $5 million in its pursuit to improve the procurement of medical supplies.
