Zillow Group co-founder Spencer Rascoff and Trulia co-founder Pete Flint are among the investors in La Haus, a startup aiming to digitize the real estate experience for consumers in Latin America.

The 3-year-old company announced a $10 million Series A round led by Kaszek Ventures. Flint’s VC firm NFX also participated, along with Rascoff, who led Seattle-based Zillow as CEO for nine years before stepping down last year. Flint previously founded Trulia, a real estate listings company acquired by Zillow in 2015.

The backing from real estate tech veterans is a vote of confidence for La Haus, which facilitates home buying and selling in Bogotá and Medellín, Colombia, as well as Mexico City. It operates as a property search portal, as well as a brokerage, and has 200 employees.

“It’s hard to understate the opportunity in Latin America for the break-through real estate product experience La Haus is building,” Flint said in a statement. “This is a market that is chronically underserved — there is effectively no organized real estate infrastructure today. La Haus and its technology stack will change that, fitting together and streamlining the entire process.”

Other La Haus backers include Acrew Capital; IMO Ventures; Beresford Ventures; Nubank founder David Velez; Vivareal founder Brian Requarth; Seattle-based Code.org founder Hadi Partovi; and Nori Gerardo Lietz, a Harvard Business School venture capital professor.
