— Former Tableau CMO Elissa Fink joined the board of directors of San Francisco-based website operations platform Pantheon.
During her tenure at Tableau, Fink was responsible for the Seattle-based data visualization company’s website running on Pantheon’s platform.
“I’m thrilled to work with Pantheon to help show the world that marketers are up to the task of owning, operating, and yes, even shipping software to get their job done,” Fink said.
Fink retired after 11 years at Tableau, during which the company grew from startup to an international public company with more than $877 million in annual revenue. Salesforce acquired Tableau last year for $15.7 billion.
— Comcast announced Roy Novosel as the new vice president of engineering for Washington state. A 20-year Comcast veteran, Novosel will be responsible for the network, engineering and construction teams for Comcast’s network, which serves upwards of 1.6 million residents and businesses.
— Founder and CTO Deepak Kumar will take over as CEO of Kirkland, Wash.-based Adaptiva, a provider of endpoint management and security solutions. Former CEO Jim Souders departed Adaptiva in December.
Citing “massive expansion plans for 2020,” the company also announced the recent additions of Oracle and Microsoft veteran Doug Kennedy as chief growth officer; fellow Microsoft alum David Langston as chief revenue officer; and product marketing exec Jeff Harrell as vice president of marketing.
— Seattle-based StrataCore, an IT services broker, hired Kim Baker as vice president of sales. Baker led telecommunication sales for CenturyLink Business, most recently as general manager for Washington, Alaska and British Columbia.
— Tech consultancy Avanade has appointed Chris McClean as its global digital ethics lead. The Seattle-based company was born out of a joint venture between Accenture and Microsoft 20 years ago.
McClean previously spent 12 years at Forrester Research leading research and analysis of topics including digital risk management, corporate values, and ethics.
— Burnaby, B.C.-based General Fusion appointed Michael Cappello as senior vice president, prototype development. He will lead the deployment of the company’s “Fusion Demonstration Plant,” a prototype facility for its nuclear fusion technology.
The commercial fusion energy company raised a $65 million equity financing round in December 2019 and counts Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos as a backer.
Cappello previously served as senior vice president and chief engineer at TAE Technologies, a California-based company focusing on clean and fusion energy.
— Doug Camplejohn, previously VP of product management, sales solutions at LinkedIn, is now EVP and GM of Sales Cloud, Salesforce’s CRM software. CNBC reported that Camplejohn worked on LinkedIn’s Sales Navigator tool during his tenure and will be succeeded by Lindsey Edwards.
