Microsoft inked another key cloud partnership, announcing a deal Monday with Cary, N.C.-based data analytics giant SAS on Monday.
SAS will make Microsoft Azure the preferred cloud provider for SAS Cloud as part of the deal, and SAS will integrate products across Microsoft platforms such as Dynamics 365 and PowerBI.
“SAS, with its recognized expertise in analytics, data science and machine learning, is a strategic partner for Microsoft, and together we will help customers across dozens of industries and horizontals address their most critical and complex analytical challenges,” Scott Guthrie, Microsoft Executive Vice President of Cloud and AI, said in a statement.
Founded in 1976, SAS has more than 83,000 customers, including 92 of the top 100 companies on the 2018 Fortune Global 1000. It employs nearly 14,000 people and reported revenue of $3.27 billion in 2018.
Microsoft has announced various cloud-related deals this year with companies including FedEx, Coca-Cola, AT&T, the NBA, and others.
