— Flexe, a Seattle startup that provides flexible, on-demand warehouse space to companies, added two new members to its leadership team. Deirdre Runnette will serve as the company’s chief people officer and general counsel, and David Glick has been named chief technology officer.
Runnette was most recently at Zulily, where she worked for six years and was senior vice president and general counsel. Prior to Zulily, Runnette served as managing corporate counsel at T-Mobile.
“I’ve always been attracted to the vibrance and innovation within the Seattle technology community,” Runnette said in a statement. “I look forward to continuing my career at FLEXE, a company that prioritizes people and culture. The team’s energy is palpable.”
Glick spent nearly two decades with Amazon, where he worked for many years in the logistics division and was most recently vice president of Amazon Tickets, a live event ticket sales effort in the UK that shut down last year.
“Logistics technology is in my DNA,” Glick said in a statement. “For two decades, I had a front row seat to the rise of eCommerce and the massive changes it spurred in warehousing and fulfillment. I joined FLEXE because the on-demand warehousing category they’re pioneering will transform global logistics in the same way Amazon transformed global commerce.”

Flexe added Matt Millen as chief revenue officer earlier this year, and the company moved into its new offices in Seattle’s Pioneer Square last month.
— Amazon Game Tech hired Jen MacLean as the head of worldwide business development for small and mid-size developers. MacLean was most recently the executive director at the International Game Developers Association (IGDA). She was also the president of StoryArc Media in Boston and CEO of 38 Studios, a game company started by baseball star Curt Schilling.
Amazon said MacLean would be working with developers across the company’s services, including Twitch Prime, Amazon Web Services, Alexa and Amazon.com.
“I get to apply Amazon’s guiding principle of customer obsession to helping developers succeed in every way possible,” MacLean said in an announcement. “Whether developers need help building their games faster, launching and operating them more efficiently, or improving marketing and user acquisition, I’m here to help.”
“I’m especially inspired by how innovative developers are blurring the lines between traditional entertainment and games to redefine what we think of as “video games” and invent entirely new forms of interaction,” she added.
— Seattle law firm Focal PLLC hired Lachlan Huck as an attorney. Focal advises companies in the technology and media industries, as well as startups.
Huck previously gave legal advice to cryptocurrency and cannabis startups as an associate attorney at law firm Martin Davis. He was also an attorney at medical device maker Impel Neuropharma and HaloSource, a clean water tech startup.
