— For the fifth year in a row, artists from the Pacific Northwest will showcase their work at The Seattle Art Fair beginning on Aug. 1 at the CenturyLink Field Event Center. This year’s show includes talks and exhibits with a technological focus. Stephanie Dickens’ Not the Only One (N’TOO) is a project that explores the story of a black family told through the voice of an evolving artificial intelligence. The exhibit is comprised of an interactive sculpture that visitors can speak to and listen to its stories. The show also features a talk by Dickens and fellow artists discussing artificial intelligence and how its concept has influenced art. Another talk will discuss the use of blockchain technology as a market for art and how that’s impacting the art scene around the world.
— If you’re looking for a place to take your family and go more hands-on with digital art, the Living Computers Museum + Labs is celebrating Art Fair Weekend on Aug. 3-4. The museum will showcase digital art and give attendees a chance to create their own art using digital platforms.
