Apple’s massive new campus, which Steve Jobs once joked is “a little like a spaceship” is almost ready to take on its first crewmembers. Employees will begin moving into the facility, simply named “Apple Park,” in April.

We’ve been tracking progress on the project, unfolding in Cupertino, Calif., through a series of drone videos by an aerial videographer. His latest footage shows a nearly-complete campus.

The centerpiece of the facility, responsible for the spaceship comparisons, is a 2.8 million-square-foot circular main building made of huge panels of curved glass. It’s featured in the latest drone video, along with sprawling solar panels covering the parking garages and smaller facilities and landscaping that are still under construction.

The campus is home to a 1,000-seat auditorium called the “Steve Jobs Theater” and a visitors center open to the public.
