Pay attention kids: internships aren’t just for making copies or grabbing coffee. There’s real responsibility these days — and real money to be made, with much of it is being paid by the biggest technology companies in the world.

Job and recruiting site Glassdoor released its list Tuesday of the 25 highest-paying internships in the United States for 2017, and 17 of the spots on the list belong to tech companies.

Facebook’s intern program took the top spot for the second year in a row. “Open culture, world-class mentors and opportunities for real impact” are cited as reasons why the social media giant scores so high. Oh, and the median monthly pay is $8,000. If the intern worked a full 12 months at the company for that kind of money, the pay would be $96,000.

According to Glassdoor’s Local Pay Reports, the median pay for a U.S. worker is currently $51,350. That amount still falls below what Bank of America pays its interns, at No. 25 on the list.

Microsoft’s 12-week summer internship program, designed specifically to help students gain experience in different software engineering roles, pays about $7,100 a month at No. 2 on the Glassdoor list.

“Microsoft has their hands on absolutely everything, so you get to talk to a lot of very smart and interesting people,” says a former software engineer intern in the Glassdoor news release.

ExxonMobil is third on the list ahead of Salesforce, followed by Amazon at No. 5. The retail tech giant’s median monthly pay is $6,400, and it’s called an “innovative and fast-paced workplace” where there is “ample opportunity for you to work on complex and challenging problems that can impact millions of Amazon customers.”

Tech companies such as Apple, Yelp, Yahoo, Google and more show up further down the list.
