nbafinals12After a thrilling Western Conference Finals bout that saw the Golden State Warriors storm back from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Seattle Supersonics Oklahoma City Thunder, basketball fans are gearing up for what should be an epic NBA Finals.

The Warriors will host the Cavaliers this Thursday, June 2 at Oracle Arena in Oakland. ABC will carry the live TV broadcast at 6 p.m., along with the following four and potential seven games.

For those of you who won’t be in front of a television but still want to watch the games, ABC will stream the action from ESPN3. ESPN’s streaming platform requires a cable subscription and log-in credentials. It can be accessed at WatchESPN.com and via the WatchESPN mobile apps (AndroidiOSWindows 8, Windows PhoneKindle FireFire TV,ChromecastRokuXbox OneXbox 360).

If you have trouble with ESPN’s stream, one option is Sling TV. Dish’s streaming platform costs $20 per month, but you can do a 7-day free trial if you want to watch a couple Finals games.

If you have a TV but no cable, one simple solution is to snag an over-the-air antenna to watch ABC. Brian Chen at The New York Times has a good rundown of antennas you can buy online and reminds you to check your proximity to nearby transmitters.

For folks who will be out of the country, you can try something like Slingbox, which lets you watch your cable feeds from anywhere.

The game is also being broadcast on the airwaves via ESPN Radio, which has apps for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.

Speaking of tech and NBA, Wired published a story today about how “techies are trying to turn the NBA into the world’s biggest sports league.”

Update: This story and headline were updated to reflect that fans will need cable log-in credentials to access the WatchESPN feed.
