If you’ve been avoiding downtown due to the congestion associated with China President Xi Jinping’s visit, you might want to head back down there on Friday to check this out: Umpqua Bank is installing a huge, experimental art installation that uses motion-activated digital technology at Westlake Park.

Exhibit:Growth looks amazingly cool. In the above video, see people enter geodesic domes and actually interact with the art piece, creating cool motion-activated scenes by moving their bodies.

Umpqua Bank told us via email that the experience was developed by artists to be an “immersive exploration of human potential” that is “designed to reflect metaphorically the personal growth that comes through facing challenges.” Especially the sometimes intimidating challenge of managing one’s finances.

Exhibit: Growth launched in Portland last year and reached its max capacity with 4,000 people flowing through. They expect equal or greater crowds at Westlake.

The exhibit, which looks like incredible fun for everyone of all ages, runs through Oct. 4 and is free for the public.
