Here in North America we’re missing out on one of the coolest solar eclipses in recent history, but our friends in Europe are having a blast with it.

The European Space Agency posted some amazing pictures of the partial solar eclipse that started this morning their time. The Scandinavian countries, particularly the northernmost Svalbard Islands in Norway, had the best views of the eclipse.

For the video below, ESA used its sun-watching Proba-2 minisatellite to capture the moon passing in front of the sun. The next March equinox, or first day of spring, eclipse won’t happen again for 19 years, according to EarthSky.org.

Enjoy the views. NASA reports that we won’t get a similar eclipse in North America until Aug. 21, 2017.
