If you often drive a Car2Go, and have gotten a ticket or two, you might want to just go ahead and pay those. The City of Seattle is coming for you.

In this King 5 report, they say that the car service — which is more popular in Seattle than any other major city in the U.S. — has amassed about 2,500 tickets, for things like “running red lights or passing school buses,” according to the city’s municipal court.

School buses? Really?

The problem is so out of hand, that they’ve asked the city council to hire a person to sort through the mess and start finding those drivers responsible and collect that cash.

If you think it’s a violation of privacy, think again: The court also told King 5 that the “Car2Go company complies with state law requiring it to pass along names of drivers when they are issued a ticket.”

So be warned: Your free-wheelin’ days of running red lights are coming to an end.
