Aspiring filmmakers take note: Here is an incredibly fun project to work on this summer.

The Big History Project is running a contest posing the question: “What does it mean to be human?” Several well-known people have already taken a stab at this big question, including Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.

The contest is open to those 13 and over in the U.S. and Australia. Those entering should create a 60 to 90 second video answering that big question for a chance to win the grand prize of $5,000 and a contract to make three more videos for the Big History Project. The winning video will be played at VidCon on the main stage in late July. Second and third place entrants receive $1,000.

Big History Project will show the 25 best videos on its YouTube and social accounts — and so will Gates — in front on an estimated audience of 40 million people.

Other notable thinkers have already created videos, too, including bestselling YA author John Green (The Fault in Our Stars, Paper Towns) and #TalkNerdyToMe’s Jacqueline Howard. The deadline is July 8.
