—Leo Shklovskii has left his position as CTO of EnergySavvy, the Seattle-based company that helps utilities roll out energy conservation programs. The news comes only a few months after the company closed its most recent funding round, which was worth $8.25 million.

“It was a really tough decision and EnergySavvy has a really fantastic team as well as some great challenges and growth ahead of it,” Shklovskii said in an email to GeekWire. “After 6 amazing and intense years I’m going to take some time off and do some traveling before I figure out what’s next for me.”

—Donuts has appointed Jeffrey Davidoff as its new Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to his work at the Bellevue-based domain registration company, Davidoff served as the CMO of ONE, a non-profit focused on fighting extreme poverty and preventable diseases. He has also held marketing leadership roles at Orbitz Worldwide and Whirlpool Corporation.

“Jeff’s creativity and his experience with fast-growing organizations with global reach makes him a perfect fit with Donuts as a company and with our long-term objectives,” Donuts co-founder and CEO Paul Stahura said in a press release. “We’re continually advancing our message to new audiences as the world embraces new gTLDs, and Jeff’s talent will bring new perspective and additional fuel to that work.”

—Jeff Dickey was named the Chief Information Officer of Redapt, in a promotion from his previous role as the company’s Vice President of Cloud Solutions. In his new role, Dickey will be charged with leading the global systems integration company’s strategy in developing new products, partners and technologies.

In addition to his work at Redapt, Dickey also contributes to GeekWire through his Nextcast podcast.

“Jeff’s strategies around product and process innovation have driven a doubling in Redapt’s annual revenue,” Redapt CEO Rick Cantu said in a press release. “With Jeff firmly at the helm in this new role, we look forward to continued growth with an intensified focus on relentless innovation.”

—Nexgenia has named Ron Myers its new Chief Executive Officer, as the company shifts its focus to work on cell separation for use in cancer immunotherapies. Myers, who most recently served as the Chief Legal Officer and Vice President of Strategic Transactions at the Institute for Systems Biology, will be taking over the top spot from Tom Schulte.

Schulte launched Nexgenia as a spin off startup from the University of Washington in 2012, and will remain as an advisor to Myers during the transition. Martin Simonetti will also be joining the company as the Chairman of its Board of Directors, alongside new board members Stewart Parker and Dave Urdal.

—David Kenney has been named to the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker. Kenney, the President and Executive Director of the Oregon Built Environment and Sustainable Technologies Center, will be joined on the panel by 26 other council members, including AOL Co-Founder Steve Case.

“I’m very excited about the opportunity to contribute to the national dialogue about how to promote and foster innovation and entrepreneurship across all sectors of our economy,” Kenney said in a press release. “The initiatives we have undertaken in Oregon to align innovation investments with our cluster development strategies is one example of the Oregon story I hope to share on the national stage.”
