airbiquitySeattle-based Airbiquity has partnered with Nissan to bring its “Choreo” connected car solution to the car-maker’s lineup. Choreo will give new Nissan owners the chance to use popular smartphone apps from their car’s dashboard, like Pandora and Twitter.

While Airbiquity has partnered with other companies like BMW and Ford to put its connected car solution to work, this is the first time a major auto maker has partnered with the company to roll out Airbiquity’s solutions worldwide.

“Consumer expectations regarding smartphones, apps, services and cloud content being part of their driving experience are fueling increased interest in connected car features. Airbiquity’s Smartphone Integration solution enables Nissan to meet this demand,” Airbiquity CEO Kamyar Moinzadeh said in a press release. “Today’s announcement is evidence of the partnership between our companies that began with the global CARWINGS system in Nissan LEAF and is now expanding to new model lines.”

The integration will start with the 2014 Altima in North America, and Nissan plans to roll Airbiquity’s solution out to more of its models by the end of the year. Nissan plans to roll Airbiquity’s features out to 50 different countries by the end of the year, with software translated into 22 languages.
