Despite having settled into the Oval Office, President Donald Trump is still using his unsecured Android phone, The New York Times reported Wednesday.
Indeed, a scan of Trump’s recent tweets on his personal account confirms they were posted from an Android device.
Tweets to the official @POTUS account, however, are posted from an iPhone.
In August, data scientist David Robinson investigated the source of Trump’s tweets and determined that different people were posting to Trump’s personal account. Robinson concluded that the tweets that came from an Android device were posted by Trump, while those posted from an iPhone came from his staff.
During the election, Trump constantly highlighted Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as Secretary of State as a reason she wasn’t qualified to be president. Considering this, one would think he would be more cautious of cyber security in the White House.
Trump’s aides are reportedly not happy about their boss’s use of the device, according to the Times.
