Melinda Gates joined some highly esteemed company in the latest Forbes‘ list.

According to the media giant, the co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is the third most powerful woman on the planet, after German Chancellor Angela Merkel and presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, at Nos. 1 and 2 respectively.

Forbes listed Gates because she has “cemented her dominance in philanthropy and global development to the tune of $3.9 billion in giving in 2014 and more than $33 billion in grant payments since she founded the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation with her husband in 2000.”

Forbes also tips its hat to Gates for her ability to impact giving worldwide with “highly targeted campaigns coupled with data-driven monitoring and global collaboration.”

The “World’s Most Powerful Women” list ranks the ladies from eight categories or “power bases,” narrowing down its list of 300 candidates to 100. The rankings are determined by “money, media presence, spheres of influence and impact.”

Other techies to make the top 10 include Facebook’s COO Sheryl Sandberg (No. 8) YouTube’s CEO Susan Wojcicki (No. 9).
