Facebook at Work, the social networking company’s nascent effort to enter the enterprise market, is losing its engineering director.

FacebookWorkscreencropLars Rasmussen, who has been a key architect of the program (now in closed beta) and who is known for his role in creating Facebook’s Graph Search, will reportedly leave the company in June. His new role will be working with his fiancé Elomida Visviki as they co-found a music startup.

TechCrunch reports it has confirmed the moves with both Rasmussen and Facebook. The result is that the the leadership of Facebook at Work will be shared between a head of partnership support and a lead of the engineering team, both based in London.

Facebook at Work effectively sets up a firm’s private social network with a company-oriented News Feed, collaboration tools, and employee-to-employee chat. Version 7.0 of its iPhone app was released earlier this month.

For Rasmussen, who is also based in London, the move is a return to his startup roots. He tells TechCrunch that Visviki has created a “new and exciting way to compose and experience music. And trying to turn that into a successful startup together will be way too much fun to postpone any longer.”
