ps4So far, so good for Sony’s PlayStation 4.

The game giant announced today that it sold one million PS4’s in the first 24 hours that the $399 console was on shelves in the U.S. and Canada. The PS4, which went on sale this past Friday, is now Sony’s fastest-selling console ever.

Andrew House, Sony Computer Entertainment CEO, said that “sales remain very strong in North America,” and expects the same as the PS4 becomes available in Europe and Latin America on Nov. 29 and in Japan on Feb. 22, 2014.

But it’s not all good news for Sony, with at least a few gamers having trouble as made apparent in some of the one-star reviews on Amazon. Sony told IGN that less than 0.4 percent of PS4′s have problems. Others are having issues with the PlayStation Network.

Microsoft, which congratulated Sony on its launch last week, will debut its Xbox One this Friday, Nov. 22.
